Kenneth “Skip” Rafter

Kenneth Allen Rafter Jr., 79, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2025.

He was born on January 30, 1946, the son of Kenneth and Caroline (Dupal) Rafter.

Ken married Ruth Blankenship on December 26, 1983. Together, they shared over 41 loving years of marriage. 

Formerly of Willoughby, Ken moved to Roaming Shores in 1997. He retired from Picker International after 33 years of dedicated service.

Ken enjoyed radio-controlled airplanes and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Rafter; sisters, Caroline Redenshek and Joan Hamilton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Patricia Pegoraro.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Fleming and Billman Funeral Home, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, Ohio. Ken will be laid to rest following the service at Union Cemetery in Rock Creek. A luncheon will follow at Ken and Ruth’s home.
