Kelly Motter

Kelly Motter, 53, passed away unexpectedly on April 9, 2023, at University Hospitals Geneva Medical Center.

He was born on June 13, 1969, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of Leroy and Arlene (Heckathorne) Motter.

Kelly graduated from Edgewood High School in 1987. On December 16, 1989, he married the love of his life, Joyce Munsch; they recently celebrated thirty-three years of wonderful marriage together. 

Kelly worked for Hogan Trucking for eighteen years where held several positions during that time, the one he was most proud of, being a Regional Manager.

Kelly truly enjoyed coaching his son’s Legion Ball Team as well as Pierpont and Andover Little League teams. He also enjoyed: farming, hunting, grilling for his family and spending warm summer nights riding his side by side. His greatest source of happiness and joy was spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce; his beloved children, Lisa Moore (Kevin) who he fondly referred to as “his bug-a-boo” and Gregory (Jenna) Motter; his grandchildren to whom he loved being “PaPa” too: Bradley, Trevor, Hunter, Bryce and Chase and his sister, Tami Jackson.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, April 15th from 1:00p-3:00p with a funeral service to immediately follow at 3:00p at the Fleming and Billman Funeral, 49 West Jefferson Street in Jefferson, Ohio.
