Karen L. Slepicka

Karen L. Slepicka, age 88, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026.

Karen was born on June 13, 1937, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Warren and Hilda (Wetter) Kirby.

She was an avid member of the Perry Senior Center, where she especially enjoyed socializing and playing cards. One of her favorite traditions was gathering monthly with her cherished group of friends known as the “Dining Divas.”

Karen is survived by her children: Kathleen (Duwayne) Mulhall, John (Sherry) Slepicka, James (Suzie) Slepicka, and Kim Oostdyk; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, John Slepicka; her parents; and her son-in-law, Michael Oostdyk.

In honor of Karen’s wishes, no public services will be held.
