Joyce C. Musser 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 19, 2021, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home in Kingsville Ohio.
Joyce was born on February 6, 1936, in Fayetteville, West Virginia, the daughter of Ernest and Cora Harman; after her birth Joyce’s mother passed away and she was a very lovingly adopted by Okey and Leta (Webster) Painter.
She married the love of her life Richard Musser.
Joyce worked as a sales clerk at the Fashion Bug store for over 10 years.
She was a proud and dedicated member of the Plymouth United Methodist Church, where she was the treasurer for the church for many years. She was a council member of the Dynamic Rural Ministries (CDRM); Joyce had many interests and hobbies; she loved knitting and was on many bowling leagues. She loved the holidays and family gatherings, but above all it was her children and grandchildren that were her true source of happiness and love.
She is survived by her three daughters: Melissa A. (Christopher Wilfong) Gaines, Debra J. Anderson, Cathy J. (Nick) Cardera, all of Ashtabula; her grandchildren: Jaclyn Cardera, Pamela (Chris) Kowalczyk, and Amy Anderson; and her two great-grandchildren: Natalie and Katelyn Kowalczyk; and her sister Norma R. (Strawn) Brown.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard in 2017, sister Betty Baker; her brother Richard Painter, and her son-in-law Bruce Anderson.
A private family funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at the Plymouth United Methodist Church. 970 Plymouth Brick Road West, Ashtabula Ohio. Burial will immediately follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, State Road, Plymouth Twp.
