Joshua R. Tobie

Joshua R. Tobie, 28 of Jefferson, Ohio passed away in Leesburg, Florida on February 9th, 2021.He was born on November 1st, 1992 in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of Joseph Tobie and Debra Spangler-Gillam. 

While living in Florida, Joshua finished his education and worked in the construction industry for 3 years.

Joshua loved to tinker with mechanics such as cars and motorcycles.  He loved playing all kinds of sports when he was younger and enjoyed watching sports throughout his life. Joshua was an avid drummer, playing in many different bands around the area. 

He is survived by his parents: Joseph Tobie and Debra Spangler-Gillam; his brothers: Michael (Rachel), Jeremiah and Christopher; his grandmother: Catherine Tobie; his grandparents: Sheldon and Joanne Bryner and his step-mother who loved him dearly: Paula Tobie.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers: Michael J. Tobie and Richard J. Spangler.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 26th from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 27th from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Father Ettinger presiding.  All services will be held at Fleming and Billman Funeral Home, 49 West Jefferson Street, Jefferson, Ohio.  Burial will immediately follow the funeral service at Ray's Corner's Cemetery in Lenox Township.
