Joseph John Rerko IV
GENEVA-ON-THE-LAKE- Joseph John Rerko, 47, passed away on November 13, 2021.
He was born in Youngstown, Ohio on October 14, 1974.
Joe was one of the most talented and hardest working multi-trade contractors in Northeast Ohio. He was a proud and loving father and grandfather. He was the kind of friend who was always there to help; without ever even being asked to do so. He was an active member of AA, who very proudly reached 13 years of sobriety; sponsoring dozens of people along the way; always loyal and supportive every step of the way. He will be missed so dearly by so many; his coworkers, his employers, his customers, his friends, those he sponsored, his siblings, and certainly he will be missed most dearly by his son and his 2 granddaughters.
He loved animals, woodworking, trucks, southwestern desert artwork, he loved eagles, he loved to work crazy long days, he loved what he did for a living and took pride in his work.
Joe is survived by his son “Jay” (Joseph John Rerko,) and his son Jay’s loving companion Melissa Mitchell; his granddaughters: Renisamae Mitchell and Athena Rerko; his brothers: Steven (Ashlie Reed) Rerko and James Klieves; his sister Lisa (Michael) Myers; and his nieces and nephews: Justina Rerko, Devin Wilson, Ashley Myers, and Diamond Wilson.
Services to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday November 20, 2021, at Fleming-Billman Funeral Home, 323 S. Broadway Street, Geneva, Ohio 44041; calling hour is 2:00-3:00 and the services will begin at 3:00.
Joe’s son Jay would like to thank everyone who has offered to help him during this very difficult time. He is amazed by the number of friends his father has and how amazing the companies he has worked for have come together to help him. Words cannot express his appreciation.
