John Farman, Jr., passed away peacefully on October 1, 2021 at his home in Ashtabula, Ohio
He was born on September 12, 1930 in Ashtabula, the son of John and Antoinette (Schlossler) Farman.
John proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1952-1953. Shortly after his honorable discharge from the military, he married the love of his life, Mary Lou Sherman on August 8, 1953; together they shared 53 years of wonderful marriage before her passing in 2006. John worked for Conrail Railroad Company for ten years then worked at the East Ohio Gas Company for 20 years before retiring.
John was a member of the Sociable CB'ers Club, a past Master of the Freemason Orion Lodge #353, a member of the Order of Eastern Star Orion Chapter, Deacon of the East Side Presbyterian Church and a member of the Tin Lizzie's Antique Auto Club,
John is survived by his loving children: Margaret "Peggy" Lynn Carter, Beth Eldridge and Gary Wayne Farman, his grandchildren: John "Buddy" Carter, John Eldridge and Alicia, Sarah and Jessica Farman, his brother, James Farman and his 5 great grandchildren.
He is precede in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Lou Farman, his son, Jonathan Scott Farman and his brother, Jerry Farman.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m.at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming and Billman Funeral Directors, 525 W. Prospect Street. A burial with military honors will immediately follow the Funeral Service in East Lake Cemetery in North Kingsville.
