Joanne H. Rocco

Joanne H. Rocco, 83, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2024, at University Hospitals Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

She was born on October 27, 1940, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of Joseph and Eleanor (McFarland) Jones.

Joanne graduated from Ashtabula High School in 1957.

On August 15, 1960, Joanne married the love of her life, Albert Rocco; they shared sixty-three wonderful years of marriage together.

Joanne was a homemaker who took great pride in creating and maintaining a beautiful home where she and Albert raised their six beloved children. She was the vice-president of Comfort Supply, Inc, the heating and air conditioning company started with her husband in 1976.

Joanne had many interests: she enjoyed reading, exercising, texting and communicating on social media such as Facebook.  She loved to spend time in her outdoor garden where she kept her birdfeeders full for all of the local birds to enjoy.  She traveled quite often, she would head out west in the Fall and drive down to Florida in the Spring.

She is survived by her loving husband, Albert; her beloved children: Scott Rocco (Ann Moses), Jennifer Horton (Jeff Bancroft) and Julie (Jason) Weeston; her son-in-law Larry Pay and her grandchildren: Angie (Mike) Meyer, Kristy Pay, Robert (Heather) Luke IV, Jessica (Wayne) Haik, Vanessa Luke, Jenny (Kevin) Zolnier, Alaina Horton, Marissa Bancroft, Brooklin Weeston and Ella Weeston.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her children: Sherry Pay, Sharlene Rocco and Susan Rocco and her sister, Jean West.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 5, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Fleming and Billman Funeral Home, 323 South Broadway in Geneva, Ohio. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home; burial to immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Eastwood Street in Geneva, Ohio.
