Jerrian C. Truesdell, 86 of South Ridge Rd. Saybrook Township died Monday (May 2nd) at UH Geneva Medical Center . She was born March 7, 1936 the daughter of Virginia (Brown) Cheney and has been a lifetime area resident.
She was a 1954 graduate of Ashtabula High School. She had worked in the cosmetic department at Carlisle’s Department Store. She was a supervisor for Ohio Bell in Ashtabula and a partner with her husband, Theodore William “Bill” Truesdell with Truesdell Trucking where they hauled mail for 60 years and furniture moving for 50 years.
She was a life member of NSRMCA (National Star Route Mail Contractors Association) a member of the Young Mother’s Club and she also met monthly with her classmates and was active in their class reunions. She also enjoyed knitting, sewing, reading and doing stain glass.
Surviving her is her daughter, Susan Truesdell Friend of Saybrook Township; a son David Neal Truesdell of Saybrook Township; two grandchildren, Sam (Chelsey) Truesdell and Trevor (Ashley Castrilla) Truesdell and three great grandchildren, Theo Truesdell, Noah Truesdell and Hailee Kirby and a sister Ann Marin of North Ridgeville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore William “Bill” Truesdell; her son-in-law David Friend; a brother –in-law, Frank Martin; sister-in-law and brother-in Law, Dolores and Larry Town.
Visitation will be Thursday (May 12th ) from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at The Fleming & Billman Funeral Home, 526 W. Prospect Rd. Ashtabula with a graveside service on Friday (May 13th) at 10:00 am at Saybrook Township Cemetery with Alisa Nierzejewski officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the T. William “Bill” Truesdell Scholarship Fund c/o Treasurer of the Ashtabula Area City Schools, 6600 Sanborn Road, Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.
