Jason Fourqurean

Jason Fourqurean, 41, passed away unexpectedly on July 20, 2022. 

He was born in Painesville, Ohio on August 10, 1980, the son of Ronnie Lipscomb and Bernadine (Manning) Jones.

Jason graduated from Harbor High School in 1999.  He excelled at football, wrestling and track; he was a state qualifier in wrestling and his talents in football lead him to a full ride scholarship to Mercyhurst College.  He was a gentle giant with a good sense of humor and a huge heart.

Jason was a very hard worker and for the past 25 years he dedicated himself as the manager of the Wendy’s in Ashtabula.  He was a fair and well-liked manager who thought of his team of coworkers as family.

He enjoyed so many things in life; always a kid at heart he was a huge MARVEL fan, and probably because of their similar stature his favorite superhero was Hulk.  He was a huge football fan, and his favorite team for the past 20 years has been the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  Jason was also known to never shy away from a good meal, and he always looked forward to a big old plate of spaghetti with family and friends.  And when it came to his family and friends, he was a fierce protector of them.  His dedication and loyalty were second to none and he would do anything for any of them with no questions asked.

He is survived by his siblings: Crystal, Nicole, Justin and Fannie; his nieces Keyasha and Sharia; his loving aunts and uncles and many dear friends, especially his friend Lori DeRosa.

He was preceded in death by his birth parents and by his adoptive parents, Rosie and Roy Fourqurean.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 28, 2022, at Fleming-Billman Funeral Home, 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula.  Calling hours will be held from 4:00-6:00 and funeral services will begin at 6:00.  A private family graveside burial will take place in Edgewood Cemetery.
