James Jack

PIERPONT- James E. Jack, 74, passed away on January 9, 2022 in the UH Conneaut Medical Center following a battle with COVID-19.

He was born in Conneaut, Ohio on November 8, 1947 the son of Marion and Hazel (Hayes) Jack.

Jim was a 1965 graduate of Edgewood Senior HS and following graduation he went on to proudly serve his country in the US Army.  He was a sniper in Vietnam earning the rank of Master Sargent before his honorable discharge.

On March 20, 1971 he married Penelope Trembly.  He was the proud father of two boys.  He was a Scout leader for the boys Boy Scout pack and was an active volunteer at Saybrook Little League when the boys were playing ball.   He was a hard working, proud, and loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Jim presently worked for the Gazette Newspaper and at the Crows Nest.

He is survived by his wife Penelope, his sons: Steven and David; his grandkids: Cody, William, Alexandra, Olivia, Isaiah, Owen, Jaden, Kaitlyn, Nick, Elliot, James and Alyssa; his sister Karen Rang and his brother Charles Jack.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson Brandon Jack
