James F. Hanson, 87, peacefully passed away on February 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on December 14, 1937, to Arthur and Clara (Scott) Hanson. James married his beloved wife, Beverly Hull, on June 7, 1957, and together they shared 67 wonderful years of marriage.

James worked as both a dairy farmer and a carpenter for many years, and his dedication to his work and family was evident to all who knew him.
James is survived by his wife, Beverly; his children, Dan Hanson, Debbie Thompson, and Wayne (Leanne) Hanson; his grandchildren, Olivia (Michael) Anderson, Lucas Slusher, Shayna Hanson, James Hanson, Dwayne Hanson, and Wyatt Hanson; four great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Shirley Smith, Esther Jurcenko, and Mary Dumperth.
He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings.
A funeral service (no visitation) will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Fleming & Billman Funeral Home, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, Ohio, with burial to follow at Oakdale Cemetery.
