James Cole
Jim “J.C.” Cole, 79, of Geneva, OH, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2022, at his home.
Jim was born on November 4th, 1942, in White Sulphur Springs, WV., the son of William and Evelyn (Huffman) Cole.
He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1958. He joined the U.S. Army in 1961. After serving in the US Army for three years, James went on to work as a Carpenter for the Local #435 Carpenter’s Union. Jim enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He was a hardworking man who loved his family and would do absolutely anything for them.
On January 2, 1965, he married Marilyn Whited and together they were blessed with 4 children.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn; his children: Laura Conn, Jerry Cole and Redina Cole; his two grandchildren: Brandi (Mike) Ciaravino and Seth Conn; and his five great grandchildren: Kyle, Mason, Oliva, Braylon, and Lincoln.
Jim is preceded by his parents, his son William, his grandson David Cole; his sister Martha; and his brother Billy Joe.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2022 from 3: 00p.m–5:00p.m at Fleming & Billman Funeral Home, 323 South Broadway, Geneva, Ohio. Funeral service will begin at 1:00p.m. on Monday, March 14th, burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Geneva, Ohio.
