James R "Jamie" Adams

Jamie Adams, 64, of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away on February 23, 2024, at the David Simpson Hospice Care Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

Jamie was born in Lake County, Ohio to Donald and Nora (Pearce) Adams on December 6th, 1959. He spent his childhood growing up in Eastlake and New Lyme, Ohio. After graduating from Pymatuning High School he enlisted in the United States Air Force. After twenty years of honorable service, he retired in 1998. After retirement he owned and operated a cleaning business until being disabled in an auto accident.

He is survived by his father and stepmother, Larry and June Janke; his daughters, Stacy Adams and Jessy (James) Newman; his granddaughter, Karla Newman; his siblings: Donnie (Belinda) Adams, Penny (John) Altman and Edward (Susan) Janke and his aunts, uncles and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Jamie was preceded in death by his mother, Nora and sister Gretchen Janke.

Visitation will be held at Fleming and Billman Funeral Home, 49 West Jefferson Street, Jefferson Ohio 44047 on Friday, March 1, 2024, from 12:00pm-1:00pm with a funeral service to immediately follow at 1:00p. There will be military honors for James following the service prior to his burial at Dodgeville Cemetery in New Lyme, Ohio.
