Jack G. Massengill, 85 of Ashtabula died Sunday (March 25th) at the County Club Retirement Campus. He was born Dec. 2, 1932 in Clinton, TN the son of Fred G. and Stella (Wallace) Massengill.
He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He married Janet Keilman on January 3, 1953.
Jack was President and agent for Massengill Insurance Agency, Inc. in Jefferson and North Kingsville and was still active in the business until ill health force his retirement.
He was a lifetime member of BPOE #206; a former member of the Moose and Kingsville Lion’s Club and was very active in the Kingsvlle Area Little League and was past president of the board. He enjoyed lawn work and dancing but he enjoyed keeping busy at his Agency.
Surviving him are his wife, Janet; a daughter, Kimm (Mark) Massengill-Bernardin of Columbus, Ohio; a son, Kevin (April) Massengill of Jefferson and four grandchildren, Brooke, Brianna, Connor and Gillian. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, W. Ken Massengill.
A private service will be held at Greenlawn Memory Gardens in North Kingsville with Rev. Christine Bell officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the Kingsville Area Little League.
