Helen L. Wludyga, age 66, Dorset Twp., died Friday morning at her residence following a six-year battle with cancer.
She was born March 2, 1953 in Ashtabula, the daughter of the late George & Mary (Simko) Bucko and has been an area resident all of her life. Helen was married to Michael K. “Casey” Wludyga on July 2, 1982 in Springfield, TN.
She formerly worked at the General Electric Plant and Hasco Springs in Jefferson before becoming a full time stay at home mom with Dylan. Helen and Casey sometimes attended the Dorset United Methodist Church and was very involved as a volunteer with Ashtabula Co. Special Olympics. She enjoyed fishing and spoiling her grandchildren.
Survivors include Michael “Casey” her husband; four children, Dakota (Bob) Knox of Warren, PA, Courtney (Greg) Baker of Jefferson, Dylan Wludyga of Dorset & Kayla (Daryl) Wludyga of Andover; three grandchildren, Corinne, Maddox & Jace; a sister, Mary Dillon of Bristol, TN & a brother, George Bucko of Ashtabula.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:00 PM at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson with Rev. Mick Gilliam with the Jefferson United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Dorset Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 12-2 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are requested to go to the Ashtabula Co. Special Olympics,1119 Lake Rd., Conneaut, OH 44030.
