Helen (Little) Ray

Helen (Little) Ray, 85, passed away peacefully on June 21st, 2023, at her home in Jefferson, Ohio

She was born on July 24th, 1937, in Melvin, Kentucky, the daughter of Will and Elizabeth (Bryant) Little.

Helen graduated high School in 1956 from Wheelwright High School in Kentucky.

On June 12th, 1956, she married the love of her life, Aubrey Ray; they recently celebrated their sixty-seven years of wonderful marriage together.

Helen worked for Sears in the credit collection department for thirty-six years.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, doing puzzles and watching game shows.  Helen was a dedicated fan of the Cleveland Indians, the Cleveland Browns and the Kentucky Wildcats. 

She is survived by her beloved husband, Aubrey; her children: Aubrey “Doug” D. (Linda) Ray, Lynn (Jim) Lekan and Terry (Dennis) Costella; her grandchildren: Shauna, Stephanie, Shelly, Matthew, Joey, Jenna, Lauren, James, Sara, Denny and Eddie; seventeen great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild and her siblings: Willis (Mary) Little, Sadie Napier, Peggy (Tim) Convery and Sharon Salyers.

She is preceded on death by her parents and her siblings: Walter, Tommy, Carl, Pat and Shelby.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 26th, 2023, from 11:00a-1:00p with a funeral service starting at 1:00p at Fleming and Billman Funeral Home, 49 West Jefferson Street in Jefferson, Ohio.  Burial will immediately follow the funeral service at Ray’s Corners Cemetery in Lenox Township.
