Helen H. (Hriso) Miller

Helen H. Miller, age 90, former resident at Grand Senora Apartments, Ashtabula, died Saturday,  4/27/19, at the Geneva Village Retirement Center where she has resided the past five years.

She was born April 3, 1929 in Springboro, PA, the daughter of Andrew & Anna (Dugan) Hriso and has lived in the Ashtabula area the past 70 years, coming from Springboro.  She was a 1948 graduate of Springboro High School.  Mrs. Miller was a cook with the Ashtabula City School System more for than 30 years, retiring in 1991.

She was a member of the Ss. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church in Crossingville, PA where she belonged to the Altar Society more than 70 years.  Her enjoyments included cooking, baking and being with her family.

Survivors include three children, Father Joseph P. Miller of Ormond Beach, FL, Mark D. Miller of Geneva & Nancy Dearing of Springboro, PA; six grandchildren, David Cole, Stephen Cole, Nicholas Dearing, Rachel Miller DiStasio, Sarah Miller Lupton & Andrea Miller Masters; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Marie Gidus of Orlando, FL.

Her parents; her husband, Paul in 1998; a daughter, Diane Cole; a sister, Ann Peterson and two brothers, John & Michael Hriso all preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 AM at the Ss. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, 25636 N. Mosiertown Rd., Edinboro, PA  16412 with Fr. Daniel Mathewson officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
