George Andrew Dzura, Sr.

George A. Dzura, Sr., age 70 of Jefferson, died Sunday morning at the David Simpson Hospice House of the Western Reserve following a long, painful illness.

He was born April 25, 1950 in Johnstown, PA, the son of the late George & Olga (Koss) Dzura and has been a resident of Jefferson since 1986, coming from Thompson.  George was a retired teamster truck driver with Consolidated Freightways.

George’s greatest joy and biggest passion was always his family.  He was dedicated to his grandchildren and attended all their events.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and working on cars.

Survivors include four children, George A. (Cherie) Dzura & John A. (Gennifer) Dzura, both of Jefferson, Natalie A. (Christopher) Smile of Rome Twp. & Nicholas J. (Lindsey) Dzura of New Lyme Twp.; 10 grandchildren, George, III, Grace, Gigi, Gabriella, Moseley, Sydney, Hunter, Addison, Michael & Tristan; a sister, Jackie (Ernie) Weidenberger of Hot Springs, AR; a brother, Michael (Linda) Dzura of Moreland Hills and two cousins, Mark & Denise Dzura.
