Garnet L. Shreve

Garnet Lucille Shreve, 75, of Dorset, passed away on February 5, 2024, surrounded by family.

She was born on June 1, 1948, the daughter of Homer and Estella (Bender) Bright.

Garnet enjoyed reading books, watching television and solving word puzzles. She cherished spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her loving family; her children: Diana (Cary) Dunford of Austinburg, James Shreve, Jr. of New Lyme Twp., Estella (James) Harden of Kingsville, Paula (Mike) Scott of Madison, Jenny Bevins of Dorset, Billy (Kim) Shreve of Rockcreek, Mark (Alecia) Shreve of Dorset and Jill (Gene) Shreve of Ashtabula; 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; her siblings: Junior Bright, Donna Earls, Stacy Shaffer, Betty Shreve and Nancy Bender.

Garnet was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, James Lipps and James Shreve; her siblings, Larry Bright and Coletta Stevenson; and her son-in-law, Robert Bevins.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 11:00a - 1:00p with the funeral service to follow at 1:00p at Fleming & Billman Funeral Home, 49 West Jefferson Street in Jefferson, Ohio. Immediately following the service, Garnet will be laid to rest at Brownville Cemetery in New Lyme, Ohio.
