Frederick Eugene Burtt

Frederick Eugene Burtt, 76, passed away on April 13, 2024, at Lake Pointe Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Conneaut, Ohio.

He was born on August 15, 1947, in Painesville, Ohio; the son of William Alfred and Joyce (Hand) Burtt.

After graduating high school, Frederick enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served his country for 2 years.

Frederick worked as a repair man and welder for Olin Chemicals. As a second job he was the owner and operator of Burtt Construction for fifty years.

He was a devoted father and grandfather who truly found great joy and happiness in spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed going to high school football games with his beloved grandchildren and playing golf. He volunteered for Friends for Life where he was able to help others in need.

He is survived by his loving children, Mona and William Burtt; his grandchildren, Cody Burtt and Alex Melnik and his siblings: Becki Dietrich, Donald Burtt, David Burtt, Randy (Terri) Burtt and Dawn (Arthur) Dale.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Geraldine Bowler and his brother, Fearn Burtt.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, from 6:00p-8:00p at Fleming and Billman Funeral Home, 49 West Jefferson Street in Jefferson, Ohio. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 11:00a at the Pierpont Presbyterian Church, 71 OH-7 in Pierpont, Ohio. Burial to immediately follow at Dorset Cemetery.
