Frances Jean Bailey
JEFFERSON – Frances Jean Bailey, 85, passed away September 5, 2024, at UH-Geneva Medical Center.
She was born on June 28, 1939, in Geneva, Ohio, the daughter of Raymond and Bernice (Barnum) Albee.
Frances graduated from Geneva High School in 1957.
On April 18, 1964, she married Glenn Bailey; together they were blessed with 60 years of marriage, four children, and a lifetime of priceless memories filled with love and happiness.
Frances worked in the past for Channel Products as a supervisor in quality control department and for the family-owned business, Bailey’s Country Store in Denmark. She enjoyed many things in life, her family was her priority, and her world revolved around them; but she also was a lifelong bowler and a member of the Ashtabula Women’s Bowling Association, she loved the Indians and the Browns and enjoyed watching professional tennis too. She was an avid reader as well as an avid purchaser of scratch off lottery tickets; known for her good luck when she would sit down at a slot machine in a casino when everyone else was losing, she was winning.
She is survived by her loving family: her husband Glenn; her children: Joseph (Sue Ellen) Bailey, Mark (Joanne) Bailey, Kimberlee Corron, and Billie Jean Orrenmaa; her 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Ruth Juncker and Florence Hoag; and her brother W. Kay Albee.
Graveside funeral services will take place Monday September 9, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, Ohio.
