Evah Park Obituary

Evah Ann Park passed away peacefully on July 11, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, devotion, and a life spent caring for others.

She was born in Ashtabula, Ohio, on January 18, 1941, the daughter of Arnold and Mayme (Lehtonen) March. A 1959 graduate of Ashtabula High School, Evah followed her calling into nursing, earning her degree from the Huron Road School of Nursing in Cleveland. From the very beginning, nursing was more than a profession to her—it was a reflection of the deep kindness and empathy that defined her life.

On August 20, 1966, she married her one true love, Ronald W. Park. Together, they built a marriage rooted in love, friendship, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Their home was a place of warmth and joy, shaped by Evah’s gentle spirit and generous heart.

Evah’s nursing career spanned 40 years and touched countless lives. She began at Conneaut Brown Memorial Hospital and went on to serve alongside Dr. Franley for many years, forming lasting bonds with patients and colleagues alike. Her journey continued through Geneva Nursing and Rehab, Jefferson Geriatric Center, and concluded with her work at Homestead. Wherever she served, Evah was known not only for her skill, but for the genuine compassion she brought to every patient. She had a rare gift—the ability to comfort, to listen, and to make people feel seen and cared for in their most vulnerable moments.

That same beautiful, caring heart made her extraordinary at home. Evah was the most devoted wife, a loving and nurturing mother, and a proud, adoring grandmother. The kindness that made her such an exceptional nurse was the very same quality that filled her home with love. She did everything with warmth and joy, making everyday moments special and creating a lifetime of cherished memories for her family.

She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—gardening, canning, and reading—and she and Ron shared a special love for their many Labrador retrievers over the years.

Evah is survived by her loving family: her children, Kevin (Tracy) Park, Christopher (Kelly) Park and Lisa (Brett) Dickerson; and her beloved grandchildren, Kyle (Caroline) Park, Joshua Park, Mikaylie Park, and Madison (Alex) Porter, all of whom she cherished deeply.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Ronald; and her sister, Joyce Negron.
