Eugene W. Carpenter

Eugene Willard Carpenter,88, passed away on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024.

He was born on August 4, 1935 in McClure, PA; the son of Ralph and Isabel (Pheasant) Carpenter.

Eugene married Thelma Carpenter on November 19,1990 in Ashtabula, Ohio. They shared over 30 loving years together until her passing in 2020. He was an avid bowler for over 40 years; winning a slew of trophies along the way. He also loved golfing and spending time with his family. Eugene worked as a boiler operator for many years. He retired 27 years ago from Millenium. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the National Guard. 

He is survived by his children: Cindy (Robert) Burckhartee, Tammy (Dennis) Bowman, Lynne Kinnison and Gene (Sandy) Carpenter; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Eugene was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Carpenter.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 6th from 12:00pm-1:30pm funeral service at 1:30 pm at Fleming & Billman Funeral Home 526 W. Prospect Road Ashtabula, Ohio. Eugene will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memory Gardens following the funeral service.
