Ethel H. Pokorny, 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at her home in Ashtabula.
She was born on April 2,1941, in Hemingway, South Carolina, the daughter of Marvin and Demitt (Floyd) Morris.
After graduating from Hemingway High School, Ethel went on to marry the love of her life, Anthony Pokorny, they shared over fifty years of marriage.
Ethel enjoyed gardening, sewing, shopping and going to the VFW with her friends. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband, Anthony; her children: Scott Pokorny, Don Pokorny, and Susan Zeppernick; her seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her brother, Mike Morris.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Murphy Morris.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Fleming & Billman Funeral Home, 526 W. Prospect Rd, Ashtabula, Ohio. A funeral service to follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens at 1:30pm.
