Ericka Rene McDonald

Ericka Rene (McGuiness) McDonald, 46, passed away on July 18, 2025, at Canton Aultman Hospital following a brief, unexpected illness.

She was born on November 17, 1978, in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of Michael and Sharon (Ingram) McGuiness. Ericka had a vibrant spirit and a variety of passions, including collecting Fenton glass and Christmas villages, coloring, and playing basketball and volleyball in her younger years.

Ericka is survived by her loving family, her mother, Sharon Hammond; her sisters, Kimberly Ann Savcic and Rhonda O’Dell; and her loving companion, William Yost. She was preceded in death by her father, Michael McGuiness; her siblings, Michael Hammond and Edward McGuiness; and her brother-in-law, Petar Savcic.

Private family services were held.
