Emma E. Orvos, 84, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2022, at her home in Jefferson, Ohio.
Emma was born on October 5, 1938, in Eagleville, Ohio, the daughter of Eino and Gladys (Burlingame) Hill.
Emma graduated from Austinburg High School in 1956.
She married Alex Orvos, Jr., her one and only true love on June 13, 1959. Together they shared 62 years of marriage and were blessed with children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a lifetime of priceless memories shared together as a family.
Emma was a teller at the Jefferson Banking Company following graduation from high school. While the boys were younger, she was blessed to be a full-time stay-at-home Mom. In 1985, she began a 15-year career working as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Waters.
Emma may be the longest standing, active member of the Eagleville Bible Church. Emma and Alex were very active at the church, most recently with the Elderberry Club. She also loved gardening, sewing, family camping trips and vacations. Emma and Alex traveled all around the country on their Harley Davidson Motorcycle. She was so proud of her family, and she will be missed so very dearly by them all.
She is survived by her loving family; her beloved sons: Kevin (Linda) Orvos and Mark Orvos; her grandchildren: Brooke (Justin) Stowers, Kevin Orvos, Jessica Orvos and Emma Orvos; her great-grandchildren: Tanner, Bentley, Opal, Allison, Donovan, Avery, Sophia and Julia and her brother, Keith Hill.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alex on Feb. 13, 2022; her daughter, Patricia Ann Orvos at birth, her daughter-in-law, Tina Orvos and her sister, Sana Ruth Hill.
Services will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at the Eagleville Bible Church, 1981 St. Route 45, Rock Creek, Ohio. Calling hours will be from 4:00p-6:00p with a funeral service to immediately follow at 6:00p. Burial will take place on Friday, December 23, 2022, at 10:00a at Oakdale Cemetery.
