Ellen Gay (Gilhousen) Trask

Ellen G. Trask, age 69 of Jefferson, died unexpectedly Wednesday evening in the ICU Unit at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.

She was born July 25, 1950 in Cleveland, the daughter of Leonard D. & Mary Ellen (McCollum) Gilhousen and has resided in this area much of her life.  Ellen was married to Richard H. Trask on August 22, 1970.  She spent 15 years working in the housekeeping department at the Jefferson Healthcare Center.  Ellen’s life surrounded her family, her most precious enjoyment.

Survivors include a son, Richard N. Trask of Jefferson; a brother, Larry (Julie) Gilhousen of Simpsonville, SC and a sister, Lenora Gilhousen of Saybrook Twp.

Her parents, her husband, Richard and siblings, Gregory, Robert & Renee Gilhousen all preceded her in death.

No visitation of services will be held at this time.  Services will be decided at the family’s discretion.  Memorial contributions in Ellen’s name may be directed to the Animal Protective League, 5970 Green Rd., Ashtabula, OH  44004 or the Jefferson Veterinary Clinic, 801 E.
