Elinor Mihic Obituary
Madison---Elinor Mihic (Reed), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at the age of 83 years old, surrounded by her family, whom she loved very much. Elinor was born May 29, 1941, in Kingsville, Ohio. The daughter of Howard and Lounetta (Stevens) Reed. In June 1974 Elinor married Vjekoslav (Slavo) Mihic. Together, they settled in Timberlake, Ohio and raised their son, John.
She was a 1959 graduate of Kingsville High School. Later, obtaining her associate degree in Administration, at Lakeland College in 1991. She was a dedicated Administrative Accountant for over 30 years.
She loved sister’s shopping day and beautiful boutiques of flowers. Longtime fan of the Cleveland Indians and Browns. She was the president of Cleveland Indians, Barry Latman Fan Club from 1960-1963.
She leaves a legacy of kindness and compassion. She was always cheerful, kind, and supportive. She loved to give special cards and gifts for all occasions. She was a generous, loving, and sweet woman, who touched the lives of all who knew her. Elinor lived a life of love, loyalty, and devotion. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved with all her heart. She was a true testament of her faith in Jesus. She lifted her loved ones in prayer. She will be deeply missed.
Proceeded in death by her husband, Slavo, both her parents Howard and Lounetta Reed, and older sister, Carol Huey.
She cherished her family. She is survived by her son, John Mihic (Rebecca) of Roaming Shores, Grandchildren, Carter, Maggie, AJ, Anthony (Cameron), Gabriella (Ryan), Trenton (Emma) four great grandchildren, sisters, Norita Evans (George), of Clearwater, Florida, Janice Yambor (Al), of Jefferson, Ohio, and best friend, Patricia Callahan, of Ashtabula, Ohio.
She is in complete peace, free from pain and suffering. Heavenly angels, family, and friends surround her with everlasting love and beauty. She is smiling radiantly.
Family and friends may call at Fleming-Billman Funeral Home, 49 W Jefferson St., Jefferson, Ohio, on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. till time of service at 1:00 p.m.
A celebration of life will follow service. Information will be provided on April 12, 2025.
