Edwin "Chuck" Fischer

Edwin (Chuck) Fischer, 88, passed away on March 31, 2025.

He was born on August 3, 1936, the son of John and Julia (Vanek) Fischer. Edwin graduated from Jefferson High School in 1954, where he excelled as a top athlete. He made a career in construction and carpentry, joining the Carpenters Union and becoming a proud 50-year member. He enjoyed watching football, especially Ohio State, and basketball. He was talented at woodworking, enjoyed spending time outdoors, and cherished being with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Edwin is survived by his wife, Ruby Fischer; children, Edwin (Luann) Fischer, Dwayne (Elizabeth) Fischer, and Melissa (Robert) Poscics; grandchildren, Mark (Cortney) Fischer, Kelly (Scott) Fischer, Tyler (Carrie) Poscics, Brandon Poscics, Madelyn (James) Bommarito, Lillian (Cal) Cumpstone, and Roselyn (Nathan) Wilson; and great-grandchildren, Brynlee Fischer, Raelynn Poscics.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 40 years, Phyllis (Otto) Fischer; infant daughter, Connie Sue; parents, John and Julia; and four siblings.

In honor of his wishes, no public services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
