E Carol DeBow

E. Carol DeBow, 94, of Ashtabula, passed away on April 26, 2023, in Geneva.

She was born on June 11, 1928, in Willoughby, Ohio, the daughter of Gordon D. and Anna B. (Crookshanks) DeBow.

Carol spent her first 10 years in Concord Township, Lake County, Ohio, before moving to Cherry Valley Township in Ashtabula County.

She was a 1946 graduate of New Lyme Deming High School.

Carol retired in 1993, after 44 years of service with Ashtabula General Hospital/Ashtabula County Medical Center in the business offices. 

She enjoyed sewing, reading, listening to classical and big band music and playing the piano. She was a member of Jefferson Historical Society and attended Jefferson United Methodist Church. 

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ardith C. DeBow, and Virginia (Tom) Cole; and her brother, Roger A. DeBow.

Survivors include her sister, Donnann (Dale) Shadle and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. 

A private funeral service will be held at Fleming-Billman Funeral Home, Jefferson, Ohio. Burial will be in Brownsville Cemetery, New Lyme, Ohio.
