Dr. William B. Campbell, 79, formerly of Jefferson, OH passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019 at the Villages Regional Hospital, the Villages, Florida
The son of the late Harold & Florence Campbell, Bill was born in Youngstown and raised in Columbiana, OH. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force. He had a private Optometric practice in Jefferson, OH for 33 years before retiring to Florida. He was a member of VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Service to Humanity) traveling to over 30 countries in 30 years. He was a member of Jefferson and Bellview Rotary, Jefferson Jaycees, Chamber of Commerce, and volunteered at Victorian Depot Village. LOVE, Inc’s Centsibles Resale Shop. Veterans Club, & Choral Stones Choir. Was a member of United Church of Christ at The Villages and former member of First Congregational United Church of Christ of Jefferson, where he sang in the Choir.
Bill is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marlo and daughers, Katherine Ervin, (Steve) of Zanesville, OH. Kimberly Hartle (Christopher) of Hilliard, OH. Kelly Butcher of Jefferson, OH, and Kara Kaiser (Bryan) of Chicago, Il, and son James Campbell (Rachel) of Kansas City, MO. He was also survived by his brother Richard N. Campbell and wife Susanne of Alliance, OH. He was the proud grandfather of Hans, Hannah, Halle Hartle, Steven&Thomas Ervin, Erin & Ethan Butcher, Kenzie & Kayleigh Campbell & 1 coming soon!
There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Sunday September 1, 2019 at 2pm at the First Congregational United Church of Christ of Jefferson, 41 E. Jefferson St., Jefferson, OH 44047.
