NORTH KINGSVILLE - Dorothy A. Johnson, 86, passed away early Wednesday morning May 26, 2021 at the Austinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center; where she has lived for the past 7 months.
She was born in Powell, Tennessee on June 13, 1934 the daughter of John and Sadie (Worsham) Meredieth.
On February 10, 1963 she married Kay Johnson, her loving and dedicated husband of 55 years.  Dorothy was blessed to have been a homemaker and a stay-at-home mom; being a mother was what she considered the greatest blessing of all time - until God blessed her with grandchildren; whom she absolutely adored and they stole her heart.  Her family was all that really mattered to her in life.   
She is survived by her loving family; her daughters: Debbie Turano and Emma Holcomb; her grandchildren: Ann (Chris) Cimino, Lisa (Bob) Downes, Angie Turano and Joe (Ruth) Turano; 11 great-grandchildren and her brother Herman Meredeith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kay Johnson who passed away on April 10, 2018; her twin sons Andrew and Arthur who died in infancy and her granddaughters: Amanda Holcomb and Christina Turano; as well as 5 brothers and 3 sisters - Dorothy was one of ten children.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 29, 2021 at the Fleming-Billman Funeral Home, 526 W. Prospect Rd Ashtabula at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor John Stevenson conducting the services.  Calling hours will be held on hour prior from 12;00-1:00
Dorothy's family would very sincerely like to thank the staff of Austinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation for the loving and compassionate care they gave her; she wholeheartedly loved the entire staff of caregivers so much that she proudly called Austinburg Nursing and Rehab her home.  They would also like to thank Hospice of the Western Reserve for making her comfortable and assisting them in the final days of her life.
