Donna H. (Root) Foltz

Donna Harriet (Root) Foltz, 93, passed away peacefully on February 3rd, 2021 at Chardon Health Care Nursing Facility.

She was born on June 11th, 1927 in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of Lyle L. and Hattie R. (Frary) Root.

She was a 1945 graduate of Ashtabula High School.

Donna was employed by Geneva Metal Wheel and Aitken Products as a Secretary and retired in April of 1993.

Donna enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and spending time with her friends and family.  She was a past Moose Member and previously attended Saybrook United Methodist Church.

Donna is survived by her son: John (Joan) Lightner; her grandchildren: Jessica (Justin) Brown, Shawn (Katie) Lightner, Benjamin (Danielle) Lightner; her great grandchildren: Annelise, Sheridan, Micah, Nathaniel Brown; Hannah and Andrew Lightner.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Lyle L. and Hattie R. (Frary) Root, her husband: Clifford L. “Bud” Foltz and her siblings: Wilbur Root of Ashtabula, Robert Root of Ashtabula, her twin brother Donald Root of Arizona and Louise Carroll of Ashtabula.

In honor of her wishes no public services will be held.  Donna will be laid to rest with her husband in Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
