Dianne Emery

“Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.” Proverbs 31:10

Dianne Louise Bolender Emery, 80, of Ashtabula, went home to be with her precious Saviour at the Ashtabula Regional Medical Center on November 10, 2025.

She was born on April 24, 1945 to Chester and Loreen Hofstetter Bolender Derr. She grew up in the Massillon, Ohio area and graduated from Washington High School. She attended Massillon Baptist Temple and trusted the Lord as her personal Saviour at the age of 15. She graduated with an education degree from Arlington Baptist College, where she met the love of her life, Dr. Larry Lee Emery. They were married on June 10, 1964. They have spent the past 58 years together serving the Lord in various ministries.

Dianne was a member at the Massillon Baptist Temple at the time of her death. Dianne devoted much of her life to teaching. For many years she taught elementary school as well as college classes. She invested in the lives of countless young ladies and taught them how to be good wives and faithful ministry servants. “...a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.” Proverbs 31:30b describe Dianne’s life perfectly.

Dianne loved studying the Bible, taking trips to Amish country, and shopping. She had a quick wit, a sense of humor, a playful spirit, and a smile that was contagious. “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine…” Proverbs 17:22a

She was preceded in death by her parents and 4 siblings: Patti Webster, Karen Dale, Kenneth Bolender, and James Bolender.

Dianne is survived by her husband of 58 years, Larry Lee Emery, two brother in laws, Denny Emery, and Dick Dale, a half-sister Debbie Phillips and a half-brother, Jeff (Kelly) Derr.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the Fleming and Billman Funeral Home in Ashtabula, Ohio. The funeral will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with a one-hour visitation beginning at 10:00 AM, at the South Ridge Baptist Church, 924 Center Road, Conneaut, Ohio.
