Debbie D. Edelman, age 67 of New Lyme Twp., died Wednesday afternoon at UH-Geauga Medical Center where she had been a patient the past month.
She was born November 4, 1952 in Painesville, the daughter of Charles W. & Janis J. (Meyers) Wiseman and has lived in this area the past 48 years, previously living in Eastlake. Debbie was married to Richard V. Edelman on September 25, 1971 at St. Joseph Calasanctius Church in Jefferson.
Debbie most recently worked in the office of Atty. Michael Heiner, she previously worked at Spieth Realty and John Rugala Chevrolet. Her interests included going to craft shows, shopping, casino bus trips, her love for animals and her most precious joy was her children and grandchildren. Debbie was also active with Relay for Life on Team Culligan.
Survivors include her husband, Richard; three children, Richard J. (Angie) Edelman of New Lyme Twp., Jennifer J. (Steven) Harris of Rock Creek & Christopher J. (Sarah) Edelman of Bay Village; nine grandchildren, Nicholas, serving over seas with the U. S. Air Force, Jacob, Matthew, Lacey, Alexis, Ciera, Catherine, Jackson & Claire; a great-granddaughter, Eliana and three siblings, Charles (Kathy) Wiseman of Geneva, Robert Wiseman of Willoughby & Kellie (Sean) McGinnis of New Lyme Twp.
Her parents; step-father, Charles Kruk; step-mother, Joanie Wiseman; sister-in-law, Deanna Wiseman & nephew, Zachary McGinnis all preceded her in death.
Private visitation with graveside service to follow at Brownville Cemetery will be Saturday. The Rev. Fr. John Ettinger will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Animal Protective League, 5970 Green Rd., Ashtabula, OH 44004.
