Obituary
JEFFERSON- Deanna Lee (House) Blough, 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, May 14, 2023.
She was born on June 18, 1937, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of Howard C. and Fern E. (Sparks) House.
She was a 1955 graduate of Ashtabula High School.
On June 28, 1958, Deanna Lee House became the bride of David Anthony Blough. Together as husband and wife they have shared almost 65 years of happiness and love, and have built a lifetime of memories centered around the blessing of their 4 children and 5 grandchildren.
Deanna worked many years for Nassief Ford in Jefferson as a receptionist and cashier and for Jefferson High School directing the school plays; both jobs she thoroughly enjoyed because she loved to interact with people because of her friendly and social personality; and she enjoyed acting and theater and loved working with kids. She loved kids so much that she and her family hosted students through the exchange program AFS. Deanna lived her life for her family, and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
She is survived by her loving family; her devoted husband Dave of almost 65 years; her children: Tim Blough, John (Pam) Blough, and Melissa (Chris) Pirigyi; her grandchildren: April (Jimmie) Goodman, Kenny Blough, Richie Blough, Matthew Pirigyi and Karlee Stainfield; her great-grandchildren: Olivia and Wyatt; her brother Howard (Kathryn) House; her exchange students that she grew to love as her own kids: Takaya (Noriko) Yamazato and Tammi Mallos.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son Michael David Blough who passed away in 1973, her brother David, and her daughter-in-law Debbie Blough.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 27, 2023, at Fleming-Billman Funeral Home, 49 W. Jefferson Street, Jefferson; calling hours from 10:00-11:00 with her funeral beginning at 11:00. She will be laid to rest in Oakdale Cemetery next to her son Michael immediately following the funeral.
