Clarence Spoor Obituary

Clarence Lee Spoor, a devoted husband, steadfast provider, and lifelong resident of Saybrook, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on June 26, 2026, 4 days befour his 81st birthday.

Born June 30, 1945, in Batavia, New York, to Charles and Marion (Nye) Spoor, Clarence built his life on faith, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved most. On May 13, 1967, he married his one true love, Bonnie Lou Lines. For nearly 59 years, their marriage stood as a quiet testament to loyalty, partnership, and enduring love. Together, they created a home centered on family, faith, and shared purpose.

Clarence was a man who believed in showing love through action. He worked tirelessly throughout his life to provide for his family, first dedicating 22 years to Frito-Lay before taking a leap of faith to own and operate C&B Snacks for 13 years. Whether on the job or at home, he carried a strong work ethic and a deep sense of responsibility, always putting his family’s needs before his own. His efforts were not just about making a living—they were an expression of his love and devotion.

While Clarence enjoyed cheering on the Cleveland Indians, Browns, Cavaliers, and Ohio State football, his greatest joy was always found at home, surrounded by those he cherished. A man of deep faith, he gave generously of his time, teaching adult Sunday school and leading Sunday church services at Rae-Ann Nursing Home. In quieter moments, he found enjoyment in hunting, bowling, golfing, and playing softball, but nothing meant more to him than the time spent with his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Bonnie Spoor; his children, Sheri (Brian) Drees and Joe (Sandy) Spoor; his eight grandchildren: Nicholas, Rachel, Maximus, Emily, Lilly, Nolan, Jack, and Luke; and his brother, Allen (JoAnn) Spoor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Marion Spoor; his brothers, Charles, Richard, and Gary Spoor; and his sisters, Lucille Kelly, JoAnn Potter, and Diane Manes.
