Cheryl Ann Lyon

Cheryl Ann Lyon 77, passed Sunday, April 2, 2023, after fighting difficult illnesses for many years. Born October 28, 1945, the daughter of Charles and Jean Lyon.

She graduated from Harbor High School class 1963, where she joined the marching drill team, modern interpretive dancers and swimming. She attended Kent State University which led her to find her true desire, nursing. Which she loved more than words could describe, “You get up every day and make someone’s day better and hopeful”. She would say “it doesn’t get better than that”. Cheryl’s lifelong interests included sailing, history, music, crafts and collecting decorative eggs from around the world.

Cheryl is survived by her children, Eric (Kara) Ranney and Sarah (Matthew) Ketron; grandchildren, Katherine, Jacob, Chloe and Rhett.

Preceded in death by her daughter, Richael Marie Ranney, parents, Charles and Jean Lyon, her sister, Sandra Lyon and her grandparents.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
