Charles Edward Starzynski, 68, passed away unexpectedly on May 7, 2026. He was born in Madison, Ohio, on July 13, 1957, the son of Julian and Alicia (Babineaux) Starzynski. He graduated from Geneva High School in 1975.
Charles was a hard worker throughout his life. He worked as a roofer for many years and also held positions in several area industrial factories. He was known as a free spirit who could easily make friends and strike up a conversation with anyone. He also enjoyed reading, especially Stephen King novels.
On December 11, 1982, Charles married the love of his life, Paula D. Maple. Together, they shared 37 years of marriage filled with love, devotion, and companionship. Paula was truly the center of Charles’ world, and his life revolved around the deep love he had for her. After her passing in 2019 at the age of 64, Charles missed her dearly and carried her memory close to his heart every day. Their bond was one of lasting devotion, and his love for Paula remained a defining part of his life.
Charles is survived by his stepdaughters, Tammara (J.R.) Misinec and Shannon Anderson; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his sister, Barbara (Terry) Clowser.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Paula, and his niece Wendy Clowser.
