Carol J. Weaver, 84 died Friday (October 3rd) at her home after a long illness. She was born January 19, 1936 in Ashtabula the daughter of Donald M. and Marian Norma (Fenton) Smith and has been a lifetime area resident.
She had worked at Premix, K-Mart and at Phar-Mor until her retirement.
She enjoyed camping, traveling, bingo and going to casinos.
Surviving her are her children, Robert L. (Patty) Weaver of Ashtabula, David A. Weaver of Ashtabula, Valerie (Tim) Lawrence of Ashtabula, Kevin M. Weaver of Ashtabula and Mary Ann (Ed) Bihlajama of North Royalton, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Nancy Dodge of Williamsfield, Oh, Donna Still of Colorado, Mary Jane Dacumos and Patricia Wood of Hesperia, California. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd in 1998; three great grandchildren, Nicholas Newhart, Joselin Searles and Chance Weaver; two brothers, Cecil Smith and James Smith and a sister, Betty Lou Bowens.
Funeral service will be Thursday (Oct. 8th) at 11:00 am at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 526 West Prospect Rd. Ashtabula with Jim Moyer officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens in North Kingsville.
Calling hours will be Wednesday (Oct. 7th) for 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in her memory can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave. Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.
