Carol J. (Baker) Conrad

Carol J. Conrad, age 84, died Friday, June 26, 2020 at the Country Club Retirement Campus in Ashtabula. She was born August 29, 1935 in Ashtabula, the daughter of Virgil and Edith (Kessler) Baker and had been a lifelong area resident.

A graduate of Spencer High School, she was married to Graydon Conrad for 64 years before his death in 2018. She had worked for the Geneva Area Schools until her retirement and had attended Park Street Christian Church for many years.

Mrs. Conrad enjoyed taking care of her home and decorating for every holiday. Most of all, she loved being with her family.

Surviving are four children, Debbie (Mike) Baruffa of Kent, Jim (Debbie) Conrad of Rock Creek, Jeff (Jennifer Nichols) Conrad of Jefferson and Ken (Trish) Conrad of Geneva; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Grady;  three great-grandsons, Lyrik Conrad, Jacob King, Isaac King; a great-granddaughter, Isabel King;  four brothers, Virgil Carl Jr., Arthur, Robert and Donald Baker and three sisters, Edith Mullins, Dorothy Neubert and Laura Benjamin.

Graveside services will be Thursday, July 2nd at 11:00 AM at Greenlawn Memory Gardens in North Kingsville with Alisa Nierzejewski Certified Celebrant officiating.
