Brennan Scott Dickson, 47, passed away on August 7, 2024.
He was born in Ashtabula, Ohio on December 12, 1976, the son of James Dickson and Jennifer Lyn (Frederick) Walsh-Ferry.
Brennan received his GED and went on to receive his bachelor's degree from Kent State University. Brennan had worked for Bluestone Perennials as a horticulturist as well as a kitchen manager in several different restaurants in the past. He loved flowers and to cook so those jobs never felt like work for him. For many years when he was younger Brennan was active with the local theater arts programs. His years acting in the plays at the Ashtabula Arts Center were some of the most memorable. He loved nature and the outdoors; he was one of the biggest bird lovers you could ever know and always had them as his “feathered friends” in his home. The trait Brennan will be remembered for most fondly is his kind-heartedness, especially with children and he will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his loving mother Jennifer Walsh-Ferry and his stepfather Peter Ferry; as well as his half-brothers James and Sean Dickson.
He was preceded in death by his birth father James Dickson and his stepfather Paul Walsh, whom he loved like a dad.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 17, 2024, at Fleming-Billman Funeral Home, 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, Ohio; calling hours will be from 2:00-4:00 with his memorial service starting at 4:00.
