Barbara Ward Obituary

Barbara J. Ward, 69, passed away on Sept. 19, 2021, at her home in Andover, Ohio.

She was born in Ashtabula on Jan. 13, 1952, the daughter of Harry and Leta Mae (Hughart) Miller.

Barbara graduated from Jefferson High School in 1970. She married Rick Ward on Aug. 16, 1988. Together they shared 32 years of marriage before Rick’s passing on March 3, 2020.

Barbara enjoyed farming and made sure her grandchildren participated in 4-H where they were part of the group “Cherry Lyme Tail Enders.” Barbara truly enjoyed being a grandmother and spending time with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her loving children: James (Traci) Dean, Jr., Kevin (Gloria) Dean and Terry Dean; her grandchildren: Devon Dean, Jared (fiancée Mia) Dean, Kala (Curtis) Grey, Jesse Dean and Dakota (April) Dean; her great-grandchildren: Harper, Wyatt, Emma, Ada-Lyn and Noah and her brother, Kenneth Miller.

She is preceded by her father, Harry Miller, her mother Leta Mae (Hughart) Herman, her stepfather, Elmer Herman and her brother David Miller.
In honor of her wishes, no services will be held.
