Jefferson-Anna “Ruth” Reeve, 92, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of a life well lived.
She was born on June 29, 1933, in Gad, West Virginia, the daughter of Tyree and Jessie (Copenhaver) Flack. On November 25, 1966, she married Carlyn Reeve, her loving and devoted husband of 45 years, who preceded her in death in 2011.
Ruth was, above all, a woman whose life was rooted in her family. She was a proud and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who found her greatest joy in caring for those she loved. Her home was a place of warmth, where meals were shared, stories were told, and everyone was always welcome. Her love for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren was the guiding force of her life.
A woman of deep faith, Ruth was a longtime member of Cherry Valley Church of the Nazarene. She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—tending to her flower gardens, cooking for her family, and relaxing with a baseball game on television, especially when cheering on her beloved Cleveland Indians.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her children, Tim Miller, Jim (Barb) Reeve, Carol (Mike) Glass, David (Terry) Miller, Bob Reeve, Barry (Lyssa) Reeve, and Randy (Lynn) Reeve; her grandchildren, Ben, Andy, Michele, Adam, Jennifer, Jessica, Matt, Tommy, and Christa; 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren with one more on the way; and her siblings, Marian, Lenora, and Donald as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Ruth was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Lou and Connie.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Cherry Valley Church of the Nazarene, 3410 U.S. Route 6, Andover, Ohio (Cherry Valley). Calling hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Lenox Center Cemetery.
