Aleta Marion (Dickie) Fowlie

Aleta M. Fowlie, age 85, died peacefully Thursday, 8/29/19 at her residence in Denmark Twp.

She was born January 24, 1934 in Wiarton, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of John & Ruby (Wilson) Dickie and has resided in this area since 1953, coming from Canada.  Aleta married Emerson J. Fowlie on February 27, 1953 in Wiarton, Ontario.  She worked for Congress Leather, AA Leather & Tod Thin Brushes before her retirement.

Her enjoyments include sewing, crocheting, knitting, flower gardening, traveling and doing carpentry work.

Her family survivors include four sons and two daughters, Tracy & Vincent Fowlie, both of Denmark Twp., Dean Fowlie & Lisa (Jim) Buchan, both of Jefferson, Eric Fowlie of Middleburg Hts. & Linda (Rick) Crombie of Chardon; eight grandchildren, Jaala Cantrell, Jessica & Joseph Fowlie, Ricky & Alex Crombie, Lindsi Fowlie and Gregory & Emery Buchan and four great-grandchildren, Austin Norris, Leandra Fowlie, Bryce Cantrell & Connor Buchan.

Family preceding her in death is her parents; her husband, Emerson in 2014; an infant daughter, Arleen in 1969; a son, Jeffrey in 2003; sisters, Clara Beacock & Mabel Malleck and brothers, Ira & Carl Dickie.
