Albert R. Rocco, age 84, passed away peacefully in his sleep, on April 21, 2025.
He was born on May 4, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Albert and Ida (Sabo) Rocco.
A proud graduate of Geneva High School, Albert completed his studies in 1958. On August 15, 1960, Albert married the love of his life, Joanne Jones. Together, they shared sixty-three beautiful years of marriage, filled with devotion and joy, until her passing in January 2024.
In 1976, Albert founded Comfort Supply, Inc., a heating and air conditioning company that he built from the ground up and ran with dedication and pride.
Albert was a man of many interests and passions. He earned his private pilot’s license in 1977 and enjoyed flying for many years. He also served as a charter boat captain and was an avid ham radio operator. He found joy in riding motorcycles, visiting casinos, and especially traveling. Each fall, he and Joanne would journey west, and each spring, they would travel to Florida—cherishing every mile together. Above all, Albert loved nothing more than gathering with his family. Hosting was one of his greatest joys.
Albert is survived by his children: Scott (Ann Moses) Rocco, Jennifer Horton (Jeff Bancroft), and Julie (Jason) Weeston; his son-in-law, Larry Pay; and his cherished grandchildren: Angie (Mike) Meyer, Kristy Pay, Robert (Heather) Luke IV, Jessica (Wayne) Haik, Vanessa Luke, Jenny (Kevin) Zolnier, Alaina Horton, Marissa Bancroft, Brooklin Weeston, and Ella Weeston; seven great-grandchildren; and his siblings: Vincent (Eleanor) Rocco of Escondido, California; Velma (Skeet) Irons of Austinburg, Ohio; and Judy Cody of Whitehouse Station, New Jersey.
Albert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joanne Rocco; his children: Sherry Pay, Sharlene Rocco, and Susan Rocco; and his parents, Albert and Ida Rocco.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, April 26, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Fleming & Billman Funeral Home, 323 South Broadway, Geneva, Ohio. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m., with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
