Will F. Huggins, 78 of Dorset, Ohio died Monday (July 23rd) at the Ashtabula County Medical Center after a long illness. He was born February 3, 1940 in Morgantown, West Virginia the son of John Post and Margaret Isabel (Moore) Huggins.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy during the early 1960’s.
He had been a sales manager in department stores and most recently helped his wife at the Linesville Bicycle Shop. Will was a member of the UAW and retired from Ford Motor Company where he worked for many years. He loved motorcycles and hot rods, and working in his garage. He loved dogs especially “Sophie” who looked after him.
He was a member of Jefferson United Methodist Church.
Surviving him are his wife, Judith; four children, Scott (Susan) Martin of Bobtown, PA, Terri Jo Martin of Bruceton, West VA, Minda (Ronald) Shun of Ada, Ohio and William “Herky” (Joy) Bender of Morgantown, West VA; six grandchildren; two sisters, Larae (Chuck) Proupski of Smithville, PA, and Patti Rhodes of Smithville, PA and a brother, Richard (Penny) Madden of Morgantown, West VA. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister, Debra White.
Funeral service will be Thursday (July 26th) at 1:00 PM at the Jefferson United Methodist Church, 125 East Jefferson St. Jefferson, Ohio with Rev. Douglas Winner officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Jefferson United Methodist Church.
