Vera L. Lytle, 87 of Saybrook Township died Monday (April 30th) at Saybrook Landing. She was born September 7, 1930 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio the daughter of Clair and Mildred Louise (Brown) Henderson.
Vera was a cook at Lakeway Restaurant in Ashtabula for 22 years; sold Avon products for 30 years, she also made cakes, cookies and candy which she sold from her home. She owned various restaurants the last being Mapleview Restaurant in Saybrook Township.
She enjoyed cake decorating, baking, collecting Mickey Mouse items, and going to wineries. She loved her time going to the Finger Lakes with her girls. She loved family gatherings and cookouts. Most of all she loved her family with all her heart.
Surviving her are four children, Roger (Mary) Lynch of Kingsville, Simeon (Angel) Lynch of Geneva-on-the-Lake, Bobbie Mullen of Ashtabula and Claire (Ron) Strauser of Geneva; thirteen Grandchildren, Ryan Lynch, Jennifer Kirby, Mandi Lynch, Michael Wakim, Mandy Smith, Samual Lynch, Paul Lynch, Jerry Lynch, Kasey Loudermilk, Nikolas Loudermilk, Cari Ellsworth, Caleb Strauser and Kevin Strauser; twenty great grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter, a sister, Twila Snyder of Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two grandsons, Roger Lynch, JR and Robert Lynch; two sisters, Alberta Bates and Janice Henderson and a brother Ray Henderson.
Funeral service will be Friday (May 4th) at 11:00 AM at the Geneva Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 323 South Broadway, Geneva, Ohio with Alisa Nierzejewski, Certified Celebrant officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Thompson, Ohio.
