Vance “Vinny” M. Kean, age 45, of Jefferson, died Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the Jefferson Healthcare Center.  He was born on November 22, 1971 in Ashtabula, the son of Robert C. & Dolores M. (Newman) Kean.

He was a 1991 Jefferson High School graduate.  He worked as a loader/driver for UPS for 19 years.  He enjoyed guitar, basketball, fishing and the outdoors in general.  He loved nature and all animals. 

He is survived by his mother, Dolores M. Kean of Jefferson; sister, Valerie S. Kean of Jefferson.  He is preceded in death by his father, Robert C. Kean in 2008; both his maternal grandparents, Glen & Dorothy Newman and paternal grandparents, Charles & Louise Kean.  Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the Ashtabula County Animal Protective League, 5970 Green Rd., Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.
